Information
The recent Autumn budget has introduced the Household Energy Payment. Households in England are eligible for the £100 Household Energy Payment if they are liable for council tax on, and live in, a property in council tax bands A to D as their main home.
- If you pay your council tax by direct debit and live in bands A to D, you don’t need to do anything, the rebate will be paid directly into your bank account.
- If you don’t pay your council tax by direct debit and live in bands A to D, we will write to you to request your bank details to make the payment.
- If you don’t respond to our request for your bank details, we will provide a refund against your council tax account.
As soon as we receive guidance from government & we have been able to update our software, we will provide further information on the timings of payments.
