We review and assess air quality in Mole Valley.
Water quality is monitored by the Drinking Water Inspectorate.

Air quality monitoring
We routinely monitor air quality passively using nitrogen dioxide tubes placed at various locations throughout Mole Valley.
The latest Air Quality report details the results of air quality monitoring undertaken across Mole Valley and is put together with guidance from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Diffusion tubes
We have 19 diffusion tubes throughout Mole Valley that measure levels of N02, which help give us a general indicator of air pollution.
See the ‘‘Diffusion Tube Readings’ webpage for monthly results.
Drinking water quality
The public water supply has to meet stringent water quality standards set by Government regulations.
Drinking water in Mole Valley is supplied by:
- Sutton and East Surrey Water
- Thames Water
- In a very few cases a private supply (eg. a spring, well or borehole)
Routine sampling of such private water supplies takes place to check that the water is safe to drink.
