Mary grew up in Surrey and moved to Ashtead in 2000 with her young family and has represented Ashtead as a Councillor since 2012.

Mary studied food science at Reading University and has extensive audit experience in the field of food safety and consultancy, holding managerial and director positions in various retail and corporate roles. She has represented companies at committee level on Government legislation bodies.

She is actively involved in local Parish activities and is a Trustee of Ashtead United Charities Almshouses, a committee member of FAYC Ashtead Youth centre and local GP Patient Participation Group. She was a previous Local Authority appointed Governor in an Ashtead Primary school.

Mary is keen to use her professional skills to help deliver efficient and effective services for her community.

During her spare time she enjoys spending time with the family and travelling.
