Westcott Neighbourhood Plan Examination

On 4 February 2026, the Westcott Neighbourhood Plan was submitted by the Council for independent examination.

Mr Andrew Mead BSc (Hons) MRTPI MIQ has been appointed by the Council to carry out the independent examination into the Westcott Neighbourhood Plan.

The purpose of the examination is to test whether the submitted neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions and other matters set out in Paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended). More information on the examination process and the next steps are prescribed in national planning practice guidance on neighbourhood planning.
