If the dog is unable to be returned to its owner, it will be taken to the kennels and charged the appropriate fee.
Finding a stray dog
If you find a stray dog and it is wearing a tag with the owners details, if you are happy to do so contact the owner. Alternatively contact our animal warden.
Dog Attacks
If you have been bitten by a dog, or you believe a dog to be dangerously out of control, contact the police on 101.
We have the ability to serve Community Protection Notices to any owner whose dog’s behaviour is having a continuing and detrimental effect on the wellbeing of other residents.
