Cllr Margaret Cooksey

Liberal Democrat Member

Margaret was a Senior Nurse Lecturer.  For seven years she was Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group and Leader of the Opposition. She is Chairman of Dorking Town Centre Forum. In the past Margaret chaired the Housing Committee for two years and she is currently a member of the Development Control Committee.

Margaret was re-elected as a district councillor for the Dorking South Ward in May 2002 and was previously a district councillor for the Westcott Ward from 1994 to 2000 and a Member of Leeds City Council from 1979 to 1980.
