Born and raised in Bristol but having living in Bookham for the past 20 years and East Horsley for 13 years before that, Roger has an intimate knowledge of the issues affecting the residents of the area. His two daughters attending Eastwick Junior School and then The Howard of Effingham, during which time he was a members of the Howard of Effingham PTA and was on the committee of the Bookham and Effingham Guides.
With a B.Sc. in physics and a Ph.D in engineering, Roger has had a long and varied career, mainly in the supply of hi-tech products and solutions to industry but also including the supply of consultancy services to government.
Roger considers himself to be lucky enough to live in one of the most attractive parts of the South East and is keen to ensure that any future development enhances rather than detracts from the environment.
His current interests include hill / mountain walking and rowing.
