We welcome enquiries about our activities under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and routinely publishes a great deal of information.

You may be able to find the information you need yourself on this website via the Transparency Information page, by using the search facility or through our Publication Scheme.

However, if you can’t find what you are looking for, you can make a request by emailing your enquiry to foi@molevalley.gov.uk or by completing our online form.

Please note that if your enquiry relates to trading standards, adult or children’s social care, schools, pot holes or street lighting please contact Surrey County Council.

Receiving a response

Your request will be processed and the information sent directly to you at the postal or email (where appropriate) address which you have supplied.

We will respond to FOI requests within 20 working days.

If a response has not been received in this time, please email foi@molevalley.gov.uk or call 01306 885001.

Exemptions

Should we be unable to supply anything you request, the reason/s for this will be explained to you.

Charges

There are generally no charges for making a Freedom of Information request.

If your request is particularly complex/detailed you may be asked to refine your request to ensure it can be responded to within the statutory limits as set out in the FOIA.
