Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Accommodation Needs

Local authorities are required to take the lead in assessing the accommodation needs of Gypsy Roma and Travellers and, if appropriate, identifying appropriate sites for them to settle.

There are a number of public authorised gypsy sites in Mole Valley:

• Brambledown, Coldharbour Lane, Dorking
• Conifer Park, Ranmore Road, Dorking
• Salvation Place, Young Street, Leatherhead
• Travellers Rest, Swanworth Lane, Mickleham

These sites are managed and maintained by Surrey County Council.
