Public Access Defibrillators

The swift use of a defibrillator, with its visual and verbal instructions, make it very easy to use and can make a critical difference by delivering an electric shock to re-start the heart.

Locations

There are 50 public access defibrillators installed, spread over 34 communities in Mole Valley.

Heartstart courses

Working in partnership with the British Heart Foundation and South East Coast Ambulance service, we have delivered over 50 free training courses spread over many local communities.

The courses cover approaching and assessing a possible casualty, if breathing, placing casualty into the recovery position and, if not breathing, how to carry out CPR.

If you are interested in hosting or attending a course, please contact Elizabeth.Absalom@secamb.nhs.uk
