Community Litter Picking
We are keen to encourage residents, community groups and businesses to assist our street cleaning crews to keep Mole Valley litter free.
Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean 13 – 29 March 2026
We are delighted to be lending our support for this year’s national Great British Spring Clean campaign, opening up the opportunity for volunteers in Mole Valley’s local communities to come together and clear one or more streets or public spaces of litter.
Complete the online form (a little further down this webpage) to register your interest. All the information on this webpage applies to the Great British Spring Clean – including the list of litter picking equipment you can expect to receive, the £1 for every bag collected (up to £45) offer, and important health and safety information.
Good luck, thank you, and happy litter picking!
Provision of Litter Picking Equipment
Community litter picking events are a good show of teamwork, involve a range of age groups and help bring together your community.
We can supply each volunteer with a set of equipment including
- a litter-picking stick
- high-visibility vest
- rubbish bags

Arranging Collection of Bagged Litter
Please email molevalley@jointwastesolutions.org to arrange for the bagged litter to be collected after your event.
As a small token of appreciation, we offer £1 for every bag of litter collected at your event to a maximum of £45.
This can be claimed for up to two events per financial year. Organisations that hold several smaller events can claim their reward but to reduce administration we ask that you make one claim for the whole year.
