Building Control
Our Building Control Team
Southern Building Control Partnership is our Local Authority Building Control (LABC) team for Mole Valley District Council.
The team has a wealth of experience of a whole range of projects, great local knowledge and an understanding of local ground conditions and our surveyors can support your project from start to finish.
The team is committed to the long-term safety, inclusivity, and performance of buildings within the local community.
What is Building Control
The Building Control team is completely separate to the Planning team.
The building control team ensures that what’s built is structurally safe and meets the minimum technical standards in relation to health and safety, energy performance and accessibility for people with disabilities.
If you’re planning any building work, you will need to make sure it meets the minimum standards set out in the building regulations on GOV.UK.
The planning team oversees planning permission, making sure that what gets built is suitable for its location and meets all necessary guidelines.
