The Pippbrook Estate

The Pippbrook Estate, located in the heart of Dorking, is a historically significant civic campus owned by Mole Valley District Council. At its centre stands Pippbrook House, a Grade II* listed Gothic-style mansion designed by the renowned Victorian architect George Gilbert Scott and built between 1856 and 1858.

Pippbrook House has been revitalised as a cultural and wellbeing hub, offering space for community events, performances, and local initiatives.    

MVDC Offices 

MVDC’s offices at Pippbrook have welcomed staff and visitors since their opening in 1984. With their distinctive architecture, they serve as the administrative heart of Mole Valley District Council. The building currently hosts the temporary Banking Hub for Dorking, a much-valued service among local residents. 

The top floor offers modern office spaces for rent, ideal for organisations seeking a central location in Dorking. 

Leisure & Recreation 

Adjacent to Pippbrook House, sports enthusiasts can enjoy a game of tennis on courts bookable via Dorking Sports Centre. For those preferring a slower pace, Dorking Bowls Club offers a welcoming alternative.

The Pippbrook Estate is surrounded by a tranquil park, featuring a community garden created and maintained by MVDC staff. It’s a peaceful spot for reflection, lunch breaks, or informal gatherings.
