Asset Management Strategy
Introduction
Our Asset Management Strategy sets the framework for managing our property portfolio effectively for 2025 – 2030.
It guides future strategic asset and property decisions, ensuring the property portfolio is efficiently managed, so that it remains fit for the future and supports all service delivery.
The scope and purpose of the strategy
The strategy is used to manage 90 open spaces, 39 community assets and 31 buildings.
It enables us to:
- align land and property assets with our strategic goals
- maximise financial returns by achieving best value in rental income and asset value
- ensure every asset has a defined and purposeful role
- maintain a portfolio that meets current and future operational needs
- strive to improve the environmental performance of our assets
- ensure and document compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements
- identify, manage, and mitigate risks
