Supporting Residents in Our Community

Community Helpline

We have been working with our partners at Surrey County Council and the voluntary sector to support the new Community Helpline - 0300 200 1008 (Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 12pm). This directs residents who need support to those who can help and also provides advice on where to register your offer to volunteer to support the community.

Letter to all Residents

A letter to all residents offering support and advice during this time.

Free Parking in Mole Valley Car Parks

Mole Valley District Council has introduced free parking for everyone in all Mole Valley District Council owned car parks to help residents park more safely, support key workers and avoid road congestion during this unprecedented time. Throughout this period, short and long term restrictions do not apply, there are no limits on how long you can stay.

Although we are no longer charging for parking or enforcing in our car parks, our Civil Enforcement Officers remain on street carrying out essential work  to ensure emergency access and to help deal with obstruction and dangerous parking. Our Civil Enforcement Officers may also be used for carrying out other duties to support our community response such as food deliveries to vulnerable residents.

This arrangement will remain in place until further notice

If you have already purchased a parking permit we are unable to provide a refund at this time - please bear with us and more information will follow.

Penalty Charge Notices

Penalty charge notices are temporarily on hold although we are still accepting payments.

We have designed these options to further assist people whilst they observe government advice, so be aware all other restrictions will operate as per usual. We appreciate your co-operation at this time.

Emergency Fund for Community Organisations

Mole Valley District Council has an Emergency Fund to support community organisations who are delivering vital services in Mole Valley. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to help with additional running costs or for specific projects, particularly those that aim to help our most vulnerable residents.

If your organisation is in need of financial support to help others please email grants@molevalley.gov.uk or call 01306 885001 and ask about the Emergency Fund.

Domestic Abuse - Advice for Neighbours

Neighbours are urged to "look out for each other" and spot signs of domestic abuse.

Tackling domestic abuse is an issue that councils take extremely seriously and are aware that vulnerable people may be affected due to the impact of the coronavirus response. We particularly urge people to look out for neighbours they either see or hear showing any signs of domestic abuse - either physical or behavioural. This could include bruises, regular shouting, arguments or signs of controlling behaviour.

Where to Report Incidents of Domestic Abuse

The Government has provided advice with links to organisations which can help.

Coronavirus Scams Advice

We are aware of scams which now exist in the community, advice and information on how to avoid them is here.
