Dogs - Lost, Found or Stray
If your dog goes missing or you have found a stray dog, please report this to us.
If you find a dog outside office hours (including weekends and bank holidays) please call the out of hours number on 01372 376533 to report it.
You can contact Mole Valley District Council (MVDC)'s animal warden during office hours (8.30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday) on 01306 885001 or email email@example.com.
If you lose your dog, please report it as soon as possible to MVDC's animal warden by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
If a stray/lost dog is collected within office hours it is possible for it to be returned home without charge providing the dog has some identification on it and it has not strayed before. If the dog cannot be returned to its owner, it will be taken to kennels and the owner will be charged the appropriate fee when found (see Environmental Health Fees and Charges)
Please check the Mole Valley Dog Warden Facebook page for reports of lost and found dogs in the district.
If you have any information to disclose with regards to messages posted, please call 01306 885001 and ask to speak to the animal warden.
Fines and re-homing
Owners will incur a fine for found dogs that are not correctly identified. Found dogs remaining in MVDC's care for seven days will become the Council's property and will be re-homed.
