Help Shape the Kingston Road Recreation Ground Playground
Residents are invited to take part in the first stage of a consultation process that will ultimately result in a much-improved playground at Kingston Road Recreation Ground in Leatherhead from summer 2018.
To help contribute towards this exciting refurbishment, visit www.molevalley.gov.uk/kingstonroadplayground and complete the online consultation by 4 January. Your feedback will help shape the style and theme of the new-look playground when the existing facilities at the recreation ground are revamped.
Play companies will then have the opportunity to submit playground designs ahead of the next stage which will have been inspired by feedback received by residents and Mole Valley District Council (MVDC). Residents will then have the opportunity in the spring to vote for their favourite three of those designs put forward by the play companies.
The final three designs, having been informed by residents' feedback, will be open to a final round of consultation in April to help decide the winning design that residents can look forward to enjoying in summer 2018.
MVDC Executive Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Lucy Botting, said: "I'm really excited that the Kingston Road Recreation Ground playground will be improved as part of our ongoing programme of investment in play provision in the District. We absolutely need the views of the local community to gain their views about what new and innovative equipment they would like to see installed. I very much look forward to seeing what theme and style residents are going to choose."
