Chris grew up in Peaslake where he developed a passion for public service. He is the founder of Grow Movement, a social enterprise which trains entrepreneurs to overcome poverty in vulnerable communities around the world, from Africa to inner cities across the United States.
Chris is a serving Reservist Army Officer. In 2020 he was called up by the army and served in Iraq as a military advisor embedded with Iraqi forces fighting ISIS. He is a former British diplomat and served in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s counter-terrorism department during the height of the ISIS terror threat.
Chris holds masters degrees in public administration from Harvard University and finance from London Business School. He lives in Dorking with his wife Clara and daughters Camilla, Anna and Luisa.
