Mole Valley District Council is asking residents to choose which play equipment they would like to see replace the existing play equipment in the Kennel Lane playground.
Mole Valley District Council will be refurbishing the Kennel Lane playground in Fetcham later this year as part of its commitment to improving play provision across the district. Last month, Council staff met with local residents and children and asked them to say what style they wanted the new playground to take and what play equipment they wanted to see included.
The comments helped to shape a blueprint which was sent to ten play companies who were invited to submit designs for tender. The ten designs will be put on the ‘Viewpoint’ pages of the Council website at www.molevalleyviewpoint.co.uk for one week, commencing Tuesday 28 July, and residents will have the chance to vote for the one they like best.
Voting will close at 9am on Monday 3 August, when the winner will be chosen and announced.
Councillor Janette Purkiss, Portfolio Holder for Community and Youth said “There was a great response to the initial consultation and it’s wonderful to see children getting involved in the decision making process. I am looking forward to seeing the winning design installed later this year.”
