Core Strategy Revised Timetable
Following the changes in producing a Core Strategy as set out in Planning Policy Statement 12 (PPS12) the Council has had to revise the timetable for the production of the document. This does not delay the process and adoption is still anticipated to take place in December 2009. It does however, alter the dates of the remaining stages in its production. The new timetable is as follows:

| Publication of Pre - Submission Core Strategy for Submission | 14th November 2008 (It is due to be presented at a meeting of the Council on the 30th October 2008) |
| Public consultation on Pre - Submission Core Srategy | 14th November 2008 - 9th January 2009 |
| Submission of Core Strategy to Secretary of State | February 2009 |
| Pre-Hearing Meeting | Mid April 2009 |
| Hearing Sessions | June / July 2009 |
| Receipt of Inspectors Report | September / October 2009 |
| Estimated Date of Adoption | November / December 2009 (Will depend on dates of Council meetings) |
