Core Strategy Revised Timetable

Following the changes in producing a Core Strategy as set out in Planning Policy Statement 12 (PPS12) the Council has had to revise the timetable for the production of the document.  This does not delay the process and adoption is still anticipated to take place in December 2009.  It does however, alter the dates of the remaining stages in its production.  The new timetable is as follows:

Publication of Pre - Submission Core Strategy for Submission 14th November 2008 (It is due to be presented at a meeting of the Council on the 30th October 2008)
Public consultation on Pre - Submission Core Srategy14th November 2008 - 9th January 2009
Submission of Core Strategy to Secretary of StateFebruary 2009
Pre-Hearing MeetingMid April 2009
Hearing SessionsJune / July 2009
Receipt of Inspectors ReportSeptember / October 2009
Estimated Date of Adoption November / December 2009 (Will depend on dates of Council meetings)

Consultation Period Closed

The consultation on the Revised Preferred Options closed on the 20th of June 2008. All comments are currently being analysed and inputted into the Consultation Portal. To view comments received please click on the link to the Consultation Portal on the right. The Council is grateful for the comments received which will assist in preparing the Core Strategy.

If you want to take part in the debate about anything suggested in the Core Strategy, why not go to our new online interactive message board at www.molevalleyviewpoint.co.uk where you can post yout view by video, MP3, image or text. But remember, if you want the Council to formally consider your views, you must use the Consultation Portal or comment using one of the other methods set out here.
