Current Issues

Many changes to Planning Policy have recently been announced. A number of updates are available below setting out the position on a some key issues. These are:

• The Reserve Housing Sites (Executive Report and Council Statement)
• Strategic Housing Land Availaibility Assessment (SHLAA), including - Great Bookham Equestrian Centre statement about the status of the site

Preparation of LDF Documents

The Council has Adopted the Core Strategy (October 2009) and preparation of the following documents has now started:

• Dorking Town Areas Action Plan (AAP)
• Land Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) 

The Council has also now adopted the following documents on Tuesday 23rd February 2010: 

• Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
• Built Up Area Character Appraisal (SPD)
• Affordable Housing SPD
