Would you like to help conserve the fantastic historic landscape of the Deepdene Estate? Are you keen to support the creation of a new, free, exciting public space? Then join the Friends of Deepdene on site at the Deepdene Trail.
The Friends of Deepdene is a local group dedicated to the conservation of the historic Deepdene Estate in Dorking with a keen interest in local wildlife and local history.
All members of the group are volunteers sponsored and directed by Mole Valley District Council and supported by the Surrey Wildlife Trust. They have been working on the varying landscapes of the Deepdene Estate since 2011 caring for it and actively engaging in work to restore it.
The volunteers meet twice a week to carry out maintenance, restoration and conservation tasks covering over 85 Acres of the old Deepdene estate, including Deepdene Gardens, Deepdene Terrace, Chart Park, Glory Woods, Betchworth Castle and Betchworth Park. We are also looking at adding an occasional Saturday volunteering day once the weather improves.
If you would like to take part you can join the Friends of Deepdene on site:
Become a member of the Friends of Deepdene and you can join the weekly work parties on the Deepdene Estate.
