Green Dog Walker Scheme

We've joined the Green Dog Walker (GDW) scheme to promote responsible dog ownership and combat dog fouling in Mole Valley. As part of our #cleanMV campaign, this scheme aims to shift attitudes so it becomes socially unacceptable to leave dog fouling about.

The scheme is a non-confrontational, friendly way to change attitudes about dog fouling and anyone can sign up to take part.

Members of the scheme wear a green dog walkers (GDW) armband or their dogs wear the green GDW lead / collar which signifies that they have "taken the pledge" to always:

  • clean up after their dog
  • wear the armband or put the GDW collar / lead on their dog when walking their dog
  • carry extra dog waste bags
  • be happy to be approached to give a dog waste bag to those without
  • be a friendly reminder to other dog walkers to clean up after their dogs

How you can become a Green Dog Walker?

Email env.health@molevalley.gov.uk to make your pledge to the scheme and become a Green Dog Walker.
