Monitoring

Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) is required to monitor the progress made on the preparation and implementation of the Local Plan through an Authority Monitoring Report (AMR).

A report covering the period April 2014 to March 2015 has been completed. The report covers:

  • the progress on the production of documents in the Local Development Scheme (LDS)*
  • the monitoring of a framework of indicators including the number of dwellings completed, affordable housing and the delivery of land developed for employment purposes.

*The latest Local Development Scheme 2017-2019 sets out the sets out the programme for producing a new Mole Valley Local Plan (Future Mole Valley). It includes a timetable for the key stages (including consultation periods).

Five year housing land supply

The National Planning Policy Framework (para 47) states that local planning authorities should update annually a supply of specific deliverable sites sufficient to provide five years' worth of housing against requirements.
