Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers
All premises where cooling towers and evaporative condensers are situated must register with their local authority.
The prime purpose of this is to identify potential areas that could give rise to the spread of infectious disease e.g. legionella, and to ensure that measures are taken to eliminate the risk of such infection arising to employees and the public.
Applying for a licence
All premises that have cooling towers and/or evaporative condensers must register with their local authority. All changes and alterations should also be reported.
