Temporary Disability Parking Permit
Residents who are temporarily disabled, for example awaiting a hip replacement, can apply for a Temporary Disability Permit for a small fee, entitling them to park in Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) owned car parks free of charge. Please note, temporary Disabled Permits are not valid anywhere on-street.
Each car park operates on a 'Pay and Display' charging system, but any person who is permanently disabled or displays a valid Temporary Disability Permit may park in any of the marked spaces free of charge. The majority of these car parks have disabled bays sited as close to the shops as possible.
Temporary permits are also valid in the Swan Centre Car Park, Leatherhead disabled bays without time limit. You can find the specially marked bays on levels two and four.
MVDC will issue a Temporary Disability Permit to anyone who is eligible and wants to purchase this permit. There is a £20 fee payable when applying for the Temporary Disability Permit. The permit will be issued for a six month period and cannot be renewed beyond six months.
You will need to obtain confirmation from a consultant or a doctor supporting your application. You are able to apply for this permit if you are the partner or carer on behalf of the individual who is physically disabled.
