How to Pay Business Rates
There are several ways in which you can pay your business rates.
Direct Debit is Mole Valley District Council's (MVDC) preferred payment method. There is a choice of three payment dates: the 5th, the 15th or the 25th of each month. All other payment methods are due on the 1st of each month.

This facility is available for payment by debit or credit card. Visit the Pay It page and simply follow the step by step instructions to make your payment.
Payment can be made by debit card via a dedicated phone line, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To use this service, please call 0300 123 1064 (calls will be charged at the local rate). You will need your card details and your business rate account number to hand to make payment by this method.
You can pay using any of the telephone or personal computer banking services offered by banks and building societies. You will need to quote your non-domestic rate reference number, MVDC's NatWest sort code 62-21-50 and account number 00000000. The non-domestic rate reference needed is the first nine digits of the account reference shown on your bill.
Send your cheque payable to 'MVDC', quoting your reference number and / or your name and address to: Revenues team, MVDC, Pippbrook, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SJ. (Please do not send cash through the post).
At MVDC's Offices, Pippbrook in Dorking where there is a payment kiosk available. The office opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Alternatively, you can visit the HelpShop in Leatherhead Library, The Mansion, Church Street, Leatherhead, where a payment kiosk is also available, Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 4.30pm.

In order to pay your Business Rates in 12 instalments, a request has to be made by 15 April and a payment must be made during April. Applications made after 15 April will be payable in a reduced number of instalments with the final payment in March.
This authority is under a duty to protect the public funds it administers. To this end it may use the information you have provided in order to access this service for the prevention and detection of fraud. It may also share this information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds for these purposes.
