Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) published a Local Validation Checklist for public consultation between 28th June and 23rd August 2013. The consultation period is now closed, and no further comments can be submitted. However, the consultation draft can still be viewed here.
The purpose of the Local Validation Checklist is to list all of the information that has to be submitted with different types of planning application in the District. Some of the information is required throughout England, whilst other items are specific to Mole Valley District.
The Local Validation Checklist also introduces a new system to help MVDC identify sites where protected species may be present, and secure the submission of protected species surveys, where relevant.
It is anticipated that the Local Validation Checklist will be adopted before the end of 2013. Once it has been adopted, planning applications will not be registered as valid until all of the information requirements in the Checklist have been submitted.
