Please Register to Vote at Next Year's Elections

Residents recently received a form from Mole Valley District Council's (MVDC) elections team asking them to check that the details held are correct. This is being done to ensure the electoral register is up-to-date and will also help to identify residents who have not registered to vote.

District Council Elections will be taking place in some parts of Mole Valley in May 2019 and residents must be registered to be eligible to vote. A household enquiry form has been sent to all properties.

Karen Brimacombe, Electoral Registration Officer, said: "If residents are not registered they will not be able to have their say next May. We would urge all residents to check the form that we have sent and follow the instructions. We will be sending a reminder in late August to those residents who have not confirmed their registration by that date."

Regardless of whether you need to make changes to your details or not, all residents are required to respond either online, by telephone or by returning the form using the pre-paid envelope. Residents can avoid receiving a reminder in August or a personal visit from a canvasser in October by responding to the form as promptly as possible.
