Mole Valley District Council Grants
On 6th February 2018, Mole Valley District Council's Executive will consider a report detailing recommended Grant Applications for 2018/2019 and a proposal to streamline the grants applications and reporting processes.
The report recommends that the capital and revenue grants as detailed in the report, are approved, subject to the necessary budget being committed. These include grants to Citizen's Advice Mole Valley, East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services and capital grants for community buildings. It is also recommended that the budget allocation to the Small Grants Community Fund be approved.
Councillor Lucy Botting, Executive Member for Wellbeing said, "Applications for grants occur currently on a combination of different 3-yearly cycles, annually and quarterly. The objective of reviewing the scheme is to promote the Small Grants Community Fund, which allows smaller and timelier grants to be made to a larger number of local organisations. Previous beneficiaries of the Small Grants Community Fund include Family Voice Surrey and the Surrey Care Trust, both organisations that work extensively within Mole Valley.
"These changes to the timings of grant applications if approved, will allow us to streamline the current administrative and approval process and have a grants policy which is clear and easy to understand.
"We want to hear from those small, local organisations that are making a difference in our communities, so do contact us if you would like to talk through eligibility and the criteria for the Small Grants community Fund."
