River Mole Discovery Day
Free event in Leatherhead on Sunday 30 September, 12 - 4pm to celebrate World Rivers Day.
A celebration of World Rivers Day with activities for adults and children. An opportunity to meet with organisations involved, professionals and volunteers responsible for various aspects of the conservation to the river and to learn of the importance of the river.
It is an event for the whole family, ideal to come down at lunchtime with a picnic.
Go along to the Leatherhead Leisure Centre side of the River Mole, between Town Bridge and Thorncroft Bridge, adjacent to Leatherhead Football Club.
Due to circumstances this year, the popular Leatherhead Duck Race did not take place in July as planned and despite ambitions to reschedule in September, this has not been possible. Despite the Duck Race being cancelled, a raffle will be taking place at River Mole Discovery Day using sponsored ducks, with a number of prizes donated by local businesses up for grabs. The winner of the Duck Trail will also be announced on the day.
