Community Sport Development

Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) works closely with a number of local and national partners on various community sport development projects. With the aim of getting local residents more active through fun and accessible sporting initiatives.

MVDC also supports local clubs with becoming more sustainable along with offering advice on funding, coach development, marketing and member recruitment.

MVDC also produces an e-newsletter bi-monthly called Sport Update which provides information on local sports: clubs, workshops, jobs, insight and much more.

Disability Friendly Sessions in; Boccia, Football/Futsal, Golf, Gymnastics, Outdoor Activities, Parkour, Shooting, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball and Walking.

Dorking Sports Centre
This modern centre offers a great range of sports and leisure facilities.

Leatherhead Leisure Centre
Offers a fantastic and diverse range of indoor and outdoor leisure facilities.

Recreation and Play Facilities
There are many recreation areas and play facilities across the district catering for a range of ages and interests.

Deepdene Trail
Visitors are able to enjoy free access to one of the country's most historically significant gardens - privately owned since their creation in the 17th Century.

Specsavers Surrey Youth Games
Up to eight weeks free training in a range of sports for children 7 - 16 between April - June annually. Registration opens March.

Tennis Courts
See available tennis courts available to members of the community in Dorking, Ashtead, Leatherhead and Bookham.

Activities for older people

There are many activities in Mole Valley for older people to enjoy and be more active. You can find a number of activities at the Fairfield Centre in Leatherhead and The Christian Centre in Dorking. If  you enjoy walking, you may also like to get involved in one of our FREE Walk for Health walks.
