Arts Alive 2019
The Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival is an annual arts festival taking place throughout the district. The festival is coordinated through Mole Valley District Council support and a team of volunteers with interests spanning across the arts.
Arts Alive is a local celebration of creativity through dance, music, drama, comedy, poetry, performance, literature, arts and crafts and pumpkins!
The events are presented by voluntary arts groups, professional artists and arts organisations.
The majority of the events take place throughout the month of October, with the Festival Launch Event taking place on 21st September - "We are thrilled to welcome fizz-popping, madcap Cabareilidh to Leatherhead for our official launch. Enjoy a morning of talented fiddlers, folk music, wild ceilidh dancing and cabaret acts with children's activities and a facepainter, all inspired by Surrey traditions. Come and watch or join in. Collect the festival programme. Support your local festival and high street! Followed by the Medieval festival procession at midday."
The Festival will come to a close on 13th November, with the Mole Valley Arts Alive Finale Evening wonderfully wrapping up Arts Alive 2019 - "A Finale evening in the Menuhin Hall to close the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival 2019. Includes virtuoso performances from Yehudi Menuhin School students, a bar, local talent and the chance to be photographed on the red carpet!"
