The Council has made its own commitments to address climate change and reduce its carbon emissions by signing the Nottingham Declaration and embarking on a Carbon Management Programme with the Carbon Trust. The Council has also signed up to the 10:10 campaign, which encourages organisations and individuals to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% in the year 2010.
