Here in Mole Valley we all recognise that climate change is a very real issue that we face today. It is no longer about "if", but about "when". However, the WWF tell us that if we all make essential changes to the way we do things we can still avert global disaster. The time to do something is now, and we all need to get involved as individuals and communities.

To demonstrate the Council's commitment to reducing their contribution towards climate change, the Council have signed the Nottingham Declaration. The Declaration, signed by over 340 other local authorities, commits the Council to reducing the carbon footprint of its operations as well as supporting communities and businesses throughout the district to reduce their carbon emissions.
