How green is your valley?
Welcome to the Mole Valley Sustainability Zone, you have already taken the first step in tackling climate change.

To show its commitment to action, the Council has signed the 10:10 campaign to reduce its carbon emissions in 2010. Individuals can sign up too, and together we can tackle climate change. Sign up today and start reducing your carbon emissions.

On Sustainability Zone, you can work out your eco footprint on the WWF's eco calculator, pledge to take action and find out about changes you can make to reduce your footprint. The Energy page provides information on insulating your home and borrowing a home energy monitor. Visit the Travel page for advice on how to access information about sustainable travel options. Find out the benefits of recycling and composting on the Recycling page and read about Youth Voice's work on climate change on their page.

The Council has made its own commitments to address climate change and reduce its carbon emissions by signing the Nottingham Declaration and embarking on a Carbon Management Programme with the Carbon Trust. The Council has also signed up to the 10:10 campaign, which encourages organisations and individuals to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% in the year 2010. Read more on The Council's Contribution page.
